Whats the Rush, We Have a Lifetime
I dont get it. Everyone does it, even me but it makes no sense. we rush. why do we need to jam everything together when we have a lifetime to get it done. We miss half the world when we rush through life not looking left or right, just forward. Don’t only to stop and smell the roses but also the lilies and the lilacs and the freshly cut grass or stop and smell the dandelions and find out that they don’t really have a smell. Why do we need to fly from new york to California in 5 hours when there’s so much in between. Take a different route each time and i promise you each time you will see something new, that you never would have seen or experienced if you just took a plane. Drive to Japan! or at least as far as you can go before you have to get on a boat. so drive to Alaska and take a boat to Russia and drive down the coast till you get to China and then get on a boat and drive to Tokyo. That will take forever but imagine what you will see. And i bet people in china would be extremely surprised to see a car with Jersey plates on it. How amazing would that be? There is so much we can do in life and so much we can see that we never will. And not only the things we HAVE to see but the little things that no one does see. Yeah, id love to go to Paris and see the Eiffel tower and all that but with the rest of the world too? its not really that special. Like cars. those used to only be for the rich people and once everyone got one it just became a standard. just like it is to go to the islands or to go on a tour of Europe over the summer. Both of which i have never done. I’ve never even been out of the USA. But states i can say ive been to are:
- New Jersey
- New York
- Connecticut
- Massachusetts
- New Hampshire
- Vermont
- Pennsylvania
- Florida
- Ohio
- Indiana
- Kansas
- Missouri
- Minnesota
- Iowa
- Virginia
- West Virginia
- Kentucky
- Delaware
- Maryland
- Illinois
- Michigan
- Rhode Island
- Washington DC (I know its not a state but…)
So i may not have been everywhere but i can say that I’ve been around almost half of the country which is more than a lot of people can say. And i haven’t seen all there is to see of those states but i have seen some weird things while driving through the Midwest. Id love to explore my own country before i move on tho the rest of the world. like id love to drive through the desert and see the huge oil derricks like rocking horses or see the rocky mountains. Some people just want to jump across the ocean and land in London and then fly to Paris and see Europe but then they’re just missing out on whats in their own backyard. And some people say that that doesn’t interest time but i guarantee you that you can find at least one thing that interests you or that looks really pretty, something that you fall in love with that you won’t find on the streets of Madrid or Tokyo. I have nothing against seeing the world but there’s just so much we miss when we take the most direct route. Take your time in life and see the beauty around you, there’s so much of it that you and i dont know about, go discover it. Taking a plane somewhere may give you more time to see where you’re going but you miss everything it took to get there. They have those books, 1000 things to see before you die, but there are really a billion things to see before you die that won’t be printed in a book. People really need to make the most of their life. why not?
