bad music
hello internet. we need to have a little talk. about music. more specifically, BAD music. because there is a lot of it out there. i’m gonna try not to point any fingers *coughcoughjustinbeibercoughcough* s’cuse me. it makes me sad too see what people call music these days. sometimes im listening to z100 (thumbs down) and go “this isnt music, its some dude yelling obscenities to a crappy beat.” now, dont get me wrong sometimes that autotuned synthey stuff is what u need.
but it’s always a little eye openig when i’m listening to some 3oh!3 and then put on the first all american rejects album. something so beautiful it hurts. The music industry is going downhill fast. everything is autotuned. which confuses me, because if u cant sing well and in tune, WHY ARE YOU A SINGER? c’mon people. it isnt rocket science!
also, all these bands with so many people! dont get me wrong, i love forever the sickest kids! all six of them. but theres something so impressive to me about bands like Blink-182 or Green Day who can make awesome music with three guys. so much more skill involved.
Then theres the way we listen to the music. little tiny earbuds??? its ridiculous!! if the music is going straight to your ears at least have some good headphones. you have to be able to HEAR the music! Whos idea were CDs anyway?? we need to get back to the days of four track records. I happen to know someone with a record player and the sound you get from that thing is awesome!
so the music industry has some serious cleaning up to do. side note: OneRepublic gets 4 thumbs up. (4 out of 5)
